Boston ADVANCE Conditioning Solution is a specialized contact lens care product designed for rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses. It is Step 2 in the Boston ADVANCE Formula Care System, following cleaning with Boston ADVANCE Cleaner and a saline rinse. The solution serves a dual purpose: it disinfects lenses to eliminate harmful microorganisms and provides a cushioning wetting system that surrounds the lens with moisture for enhanced wearing comfort. It is formulated specifically for fluoro silicone acrylate and silicone acrylate rigid gas permeable contact lenses and is not intended for use with soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses. The product comes in a 3.5 fluid ounce (approximately 103.5 ml) bottle. For use, lenses must be soaked in the solution for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight. The solution can also be applied directly to lenses prior to insertion for additional conditioning.
