Amazon Basic Care Omeprazole and Sodium Bicarbonate Capsules are an over-the-counter medication designed to treat frequent heartburn. Each capsule contains 20 mg of omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach, and 1100 mg of sodium bicarbonate, an antacid that provides immediate relief by neutralizing existing stomach acid. This combination offers both fast-acting and long-lasting relief from heartburn symptoms, including that burning sensation in the chest or throat. The product is intended for adults 18 years and older and is not intended for immediate relief; it may take 1 to 4 days for full effect. The package contains 42 capsules. It is important to take as directed, with one capsule per day before a meal, using the full 14-day course of treatment. Do not use for more than 14 days or more often than every 4 months unless directed by a doctor. This product is not for the treatment of occasional heartburn.
