Fleet Saline Enema is a gentle, over-the-counter laxative designed to provide temporary relief from occasional constipation. The product contains a saline solution that works by drawing water into the bowel, softening stool and stimulating a bowel movement. It is formulated with monobasic and dibasic sodium phosphate as active ingredients. The enema comes in a pre-filled, single-use 4.5 fluid ounce (118 ml) bottle for easy administration. It is intended for use by adults and children 12 years and older. The formula is non-irritating and does not require complicated preparation. Each delivered dose contains 4.4 grams of sodium. The product is for rectal use only and should not be used for more than one day unless directed by a doctor.
