Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a puzzle-platformer video game for the Nintendo Switch system. In this game, Donkey Kong has stolen the Mini-Mario toys, and players must guide Mario through over 130 levels to retrieve them. The gameplay involves solving environmental puzzles by running, jumping, and backflipping while navigating obstacles such as spikes, moving platforms, and falling bricks. Players must utilize various puzzle mechanics including Color Switches and Warp Boxes to progress. The game offers two distinct playstyles: Casual Style, which removes time limits and adds checkpoints for a more relaxed experience, and Classic Style, which replicates the timed, challenging one-hit defeat mechanics of the original Game Boy Advance title.
