The PENN-PLAX Reptology Turtle Topper (Model REP600) is an above-tank basking platform designed for aquatic turtles. This black accessory mounts securely to standard glass aquariums, including sizes such as 10, 20 gallon long, 20 gallon high, 29, and up to 55 gallons, provided the tank is 13 inches wide. The unit features a textured ramp measuring 5.75 inches by 8 inches for easy climbing from the water to the upper basking area. A removable hanging platform (11.25 inches by 4 inches) sits below the waterline, allowing the turtle to rest while partially submerged. The main basking compartment has an internal floor space of 16 inches by 12.5 inches. It includes a clear top with ridges to accommodate two clamp-style heat lamps (not included), and a central metal grill door (7.25 inches by 8 inches) that allows heat to pass through and provides convenient access to the pet.
